When we look around at the world today, everything can seem hopeless. Wherever we turn, it seems like something bad is happening – there is more violence, fighting, divorce, sickness, death, etc. However, even though it feels like there is nothing that we can do about it, there is one who we can count on to help us – Jesus Christ. He is the one who can make a difference in this world, and He is the only one that we can trust. Jesus is truly our one and only hope.
We need to remember that Jesus is always right there by our side, especially when things seem hopeless. He is our Savior, who listens to our prayers. He’s the Lord of all lords; the King of all kings; and He is ultimately in control. All we need to do is trust and have faith in Him. Romans 15:13 says, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
It is my prayer that we can all continually trust in Jesus Christ, our one and only hope. When things in life seem hopeless, remember this scripture in Matthew 19:26 that says, “Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'” Always remember that the Lord is in control, He loves you unconditionally, and He is always working for your good.
