Each Day

Each day, we all have the opportunity to choose our mindset and how we act, think and respond to everything around us. We can choose to be optimistic or pessimistic; we can choose to lift people up by encouraging them, or tear people down by being negative and discouraging them. We can also choose how we plan our day and make time for the things that are most important to us. What will you choose today?

Will you choose to find happiness in the present? Will you choose to act like Jesus and show love to everyone around you, even when it may be difficult to do? Will you choose to make time to give thanks to Jesus for everything and everyone, both good and bad, in your life? Will you seek the counsel of Jesus first for everything that you need, and ask Him to guide you?

We will all face trials and tribulations throughout our days, and need to remember that God uses all things for His glory. The Lord calls us to love everyone around us, even if it is hard to do, because good things can ultimately come from difficult circumstances. In the Bible, Romans 8:28 says: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

Each day, we have the opportunity to start anew. In the Bible, Lamentations 3:22-23 says, “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness”. It is my prayer that we can all make each day a good day by being optimistic; lifting people up with encouragement; finding happiness in the present; acknowledging our blessings; giving thanks to Jesus for everything both good and difficult; and seeking Jesus’ counsel first in all things. There is no problem too big or too small for Jesus; He is our almighty God who is in control. He is always right there by our side, ready to help us; all we have to do is ask and have faith that He will take care of the rest.
