Amazing Grace

When I think back on my life, there are countless things to thank the Lord for that I often take for granted: always having a safe place to live, food, water, clothing, family and friends that love me, and the list goes on and on. There have been hard times in my life, but I have been so incredibly blessed through all of them. When I think about it, something good has come out of every hard circumstance and trial in my life. I know that Jesus has always been with me, the trials have made me stronger, and I wouldn’t be the same person if I hadn’t had those experiences.

I think the hardest things for us to do as humans is to wait for God to reveal His plan for our lives. He can bless us time, after time, after time, and yet when difficult circumstances come along, our first inclination is to fear, worry, and doubt. It is so hard to give up our worries to Him, as we have to realize that we are not in control, only Jesus is in control.

I’ve finally accepted that I’m not in control, and that I need to just continually thank God for His amazing grace for us. I need to remind myself that He loves me more than I could ever imagine, and no matter what happens, I shouldn’t worry or fear, as He is in control. He created me perfectly, He knows the number of hairs on my head, and He forgives my sins. What an amazing God we serve.

Thank the Lord for His unending and amazing grace for all of us. In the Bible, John 3:16-17 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” Thank God for His grace and for loving us so much that He would sacrifice His only son, so that we can be forgiven. I can’t wait to get to heaven and spend eternity praising Him.
